NEWTON, MA – June 30, 2015 – String Automotive, provider of the auto retail industry’s first and only dealership intelligence platform, the Dealer Positioning System™, announced today crucial staffing changes that will position the company for rapid growth and reorient the company around customer needs.
Effective immediately Jessica Chaset will take the role of COO and SVP of Customer Success for String Automotive, co-founder and CEO Ken Kolodziej stated today. Chaset will be responsible for overseeing all customer facing aspects of the company, including account management, customer support, and sales and marketing.
“As String grows and works with a growing portfolio of dealers and agency partners to implement strategy based on the insights found in the Dealer Positioning System™, it became apparent that we needed to transition from a development-driven to a customer-driven organization,” Kolodziej said, adding, “Ms. Chaset brings a laser focus on the customer to our organization, along with experience in a wide variety of operations, product strategy and client development roles. She will bring key alignment across all of our customer-facing functions.”
Chaset has 15 years of experience, moving through a variety of roles at digital advertising provider Burst Media, most recently SVP of Operations, where she was responsible for integrating and managing internal teams across the country, operational strategy and execution, and client and publisher relations.
Kolodziej also announces the promotion of Michael Hill, formerly VP of Engineering, to Chief Technology Officer and SVP of Engineering. Hill was instrumental in building String’s Dealer Positioning System™, or DPS, a business analytics platform created expressly for auto dealers. As CTO, Hill will be responsible for product planning and will be focused on assimilating customer feedback, integrating new data sources and scaling the platform for growth.
Hill has over 20 years of development experience at companies including Varolli and bcgi, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Northeastern University.
In other staffing news, Stephen Thompson, promoted to Lead Engineer, will be taking over day-to-day sprint management for the Engineering team. String also continues to aggressively build out its team of Market Intelligence Analysts to service the company’s growing roster of dealers using the Dealer Positioning System™ to set strategy, analyze market research and interpret key performance indicators. Recent hires include Brook Wiebers and Stacy Maddy, both formerly of Cars.com, adding to String’s coast-to-coast coverage to serve our clients and partners.
